Islamabad, December 07, 2025: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the commencement of the application process for the written examination of the Central Superior Services (CSS) Competitive Examination (CE) 2026. This prestigious examination serves as the primary gateway to Pakistan’s civil services, including the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, and Foreign Service of Pakistan, among others.

Key Dates & Examination Schedule
- Application Deadline: 22nd December 2025
- Tentative Start of Written Exam: 4th February 2026 (Wednesday)
- Hard Copy Submission Deadline: 1st January 2026
- Admission Certificate Availability: By 1st January 2026 on the FPSC website.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
Applicants must ensure they meet the following mandatory requirements:
- MPT Qualification: Only candidates who have already qualified the MPT (Modified Preliminary Test) CE-2026 are eligible to apply for the written exam.
- Academic Qualification: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Second Division) is required.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age as of the cutoff date, 31st December 2025. A standard two-year age relaxation is applicable for candidates from specified categories under Rule 6.
- The cutoff date of 31st December 2025 is final for determining all eligibility parameters, including age, qualification, and domicile.
Important Warning: The FPSC notice explicitly states that candidates are admitted provisionally. If a candidate is found ineligible at any stage of the process, their candidature will be cancelled immediately, even if they have appeared for or cleared the entire examination.
Step-by-Step Application Procedure
The FPSC has mandated a complete online application process:
- Login & Profile: Qualified MPT-2026 candidates must log in to the FPSC portal (www.fpsc.gov.pk) using their existing MPT credentials via the “Apply Online” link. They must complete their profile and generate a 16-digit Payment Slip ID (PSID).
- Fee Payment: An examination fee of Rs. 2,200/- must be paid online only using the generated PSID. Payment can be made via:
- 1-Link ATMs
- Mobile Banking Apps (Easypaisa, JazzCash, etc.)
- Internet Banking
- Over the counter at any 1-Link member bank.
Important: Old FPSC challan forms (TR-6), cheques, bank drafts, or pay orders will NOT be accepted.
- Complete Online Application: After fee payment, candidates must log in again to select their optional subjects (as per Appendix), occupational groups, and examination centre to finalize and submit the application.
- Submit Hard Copies: A signed printout of the submitted online application, along with attested copies of all educational certificates, CNIC, domicile, and four passport-sized photographs, must be physically dispatched to reach the FPSC headquarters on or before 1st January 2026. Late documents will not be entertained.
- Admission Certificates: No admit cards will be mailed. Candidates must download their Admission Certificates from the FPSC website by 1st January 2026.
