Multan, Pakistan – The Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO) has announced a prestigious consulting opportunity funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). MEPCO is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from highly qualified individual consultants for the position of Occupational Health and Safety Expert under the Power Distribution Strengthening Project.

Project Background

The Government of Pakistan has received a loan (No. 4567-PAK) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Power Distribution Strengthening Project. MEPCO, as the implementing agency, will utilize part of this loan to hire consulting services for enhancing occupational health and safety standards.

Eligibility & Qualification Requirements

Minimum QualificationBachelor’s degree with additional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Wellbeing Counseling, Behavioral Modification, or related fields.
Minimum General Experience10 years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum Specific Experience5 years of hands-on experience specifically within power distribution companies.
Key Experience Areas• Hands-on work with Electric Power Utilities.
• Conducting GAP Analysis, Individual Counseling Sessions (ICS), Behavior-Based Safety sessions.
• Working knowledge of OHS best practices for power distribution, including electrical safety.
• Background in behavior-based safety programs (desirable).
• Familiarity with gender inclusion in workplace safety (a merit).
• Demonstrated experience in conducting Train the Trainer programs, preferably in power utilities.
LanguageProficiency in English is mandatory.
Regional ExperienceCountry/Regional experience is required.
